Are you ready to experience this Modern DTLA Wedding?!
These two sweet souls first met way back when they were 14 and 15 years old, they shortly fell in love with each other! That same love carried them through their high school years and into the challenging adventure of adulthood.
Jacob has been in the military for the last 4 years where they committed to a long-distance relationship.
Together, they have grown up and seen the world. On this special day, they got to commit the rest of their lives to one another. This day was not only a celebration of love and marriage but also to the end of a long-distance relationship!
Kassidy and Jacob wanted an unconventional and fun wedding. I mean, WHO DOESN’T?!
When it came to choosing their venue, the 1923 Loft was a no-brainer. Its industrial yet minimal vibe immediately caught the couple’s eye. It is located in the most rad part of downtown Los Angeles, California. This venue quickly became the perfect canvas that truly brought their vision to life.
Jacob and Kassidy both started their day getting ready at the Hoxton Hotel, in, you guessed it, Downtown LA. If I had to rank hotels by the cutest, this would be number one! It has a rooftop pool + bar, modern retro vibes, and the best natural light a hotel could offer (aka a photographer’s dream).
The bride’s room had the music bumpin’ and the boys were taking shots of Navigator Panama Rum!
Kassidy wore a stunning Love and Lace dress and she was giving off major Adele vibes all day! To say the least, I was OBSESSED. I am forever in awe of my bride’s beauty inside and out.
Jacob looked devilishly handsome in a dapper Black Tux. It seems as though he was ready for his close-up at any moment! Seriously, this man loves the camera. Trust me when I say that it made my day and job a whole heck of a lot easier!
My favorite part of their venue was that the ceremony featured two long kings tables already set for dinner with the alter at the end, no need to flip a space, no need for two locations, and yucky drive times — it was perfect. They had a minimal floral installment on the wall itself, I love when design elements are incorporated with the structure of the venue, plus the contrast between the greenery and white walls was stunning.
There was so much joy celebrating these two and their journey of all these years that led them to this very day. I couldn’t stop smiling behind my camera ALL DAY.
After the ceremony, the real party began, champagne was flowing, and the dance floor was the place to be.
